Bishop Bird Nature Area is situated less than one kilometre north from the Historic Rooihuiskraal Battlefield terrain. The Nature Area is 16 ha in size and the site serves as a place where people can come and escape from everyday hassles and relax in the tranquility and peacefulness of natural surroundings.
A short 2,08 km interpretive trail with a 3m wooden deck in between the canopy of white stinkwood trees is the ideal place for bird enthusiasts to see birds in their natural environment.
Dogs on leash are allowed on the trail.
Recommendation: The Nature Area is well maintained and is highly recommended for a visit.

- Winter (May - August): 07:00 - 17:00
Directions: Travel west on the M25 Hendrik Verwoerd Drive. Turn left in Rooihuiskraal Road. Turn left in Theuns van Niekerk Road. Approximately 2 km further, look for Roosmaryn Place road which leads through a residential area to the entrance gate.
